Have some of you who have a small business suffered from the credit crunch. I mean do you have any negative experiences, do you have less clients, do you have less profits...

I'm a small business owner, and I can definitely tell that the things turned for the bad since the beginning of 2007. I had much more business in 2006, but unfortunately these times are gone at least for now.

My business hasn't been affected directly by the credit crunch, as my business doesn't need any financing at this point, but my customers and the Canadian economy have obviously been affected negatively.

I have a friend who has small business - he paints people's houses for living. He says the business is slower than last year.

I've talked to 2 of my friends who have their own businesses, and they are not happy about where the things are going either. One of them is a software contractor; the other one has a small franchise.

I don' think things are that bad. After the financial crisis abates everything will be back to normal - business like usual. Of course the financial crisis can last a few more months, until all the losses are fully written off, but sooner or later the economy will pick up again.
