On Monday, RBC and TD Bank increased interest rates on some the fixed-rate mortgages they offer. Many people thought this was impossible to happen anytime soon, but there you have it.

What was that popping sound I just heard?

Nothing will happen to the RE market. The boom will continue. The popping sound is the morale of renters who have lost out on hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars made in real estate in the last decade.

Canadian prices are rising. The U.S. prices fell. Apparently there's a difference.
