Canada Consumer Prices Fall for the First Time in 15 Years

Well we obviously have deflation for now (with the exception of the housing market), for the first time in 15 years:

I don't know where they took the impression that the prices are going down. Personally my impression is that the prices of everything go up each month. Apart from the huge sales that are on now (retailers are saying because of the cooler summer all the clothing stores have less than expected sales).

I'm not so sure about the deflation thing either. I just received a notification that PC Insurance is increasing my car insurance premium

Rents are going up, real estate is going up, food is going up, and gas is going up. Where exactly is the deflation here?
